Okay, so I haven’t done much location scouting near where I live, and after this session – that definitely needs to change! I live in Box Elder County, but most of my sessions are in Cache Valley, Mantua, or down south closer to Layton and Salt Lake. But holy cow, this session location was beautiful and so close to my house! We drove through Fielding and out into the farmer’s fields to get to this spot with the open field and the mountains in the background. Add a fresh blanket of snow, and wha-la! I can’t wait to see how this pretty spot looks in the spring!
The Nielsen family are such sweet people, and total troopers for coming to play in the snow and the freezing cold. They have a couple of kids leaving the nest soon, and wanted to get a session done while everyone was still together.
With such a big family, it can be tricky to find a time that works for everyone to be together while it’s still light outside. We were able to squeeze in their session after school on a Monday and made it just time to get some beautiful sunset photos at the end of the session.
