Christmas Mini Sessions in my new Cache Valley photography studio was the perfect way to end 2020!
Monica’s family hadn’t been in a photography studio since their youngest was about 2 years old, and she was worried that her kids would be really crazy like the last time. She told me that most of their session was spent chasing the toddler and telling the other kids not to be so crazy. Sounds a lot like my kids! But these kiddos could not have been better behaved. They were perfect!
We got the “everyone smiling at the camera” shots I knew Monica was wanting for her Christmas cards, and then we had some fun! The Christmas set up in the studio included fake snowballs that I found at Walmart. I asked the kids if they wanted to have a snowball fight, and they were totally for it! We moved the couch out of the way, divvied up the fluff balls, and then I counted down from 3. When I got to zero, the funnest family session I’ve ever shot was born! Even Dad got really into it, so I call that a total winner!
They could have kept playing all afternoon, but after a few minutes I asked Monica if she would like some photos in front of the tree. We took some with the family all standing in front of the tree, then I had them pretend to decorate it, and finally I had them all sit on the floor in front of the tree to get more of it’s beautiful lights in the background behind them.
