Farmington Utah Family Photographer

I’ve known Ashley and Hayden since high school, and it’s always so much fun to connect with old friends for family photo sessions! They chose to have their photos done at the beautiful Lagoon Trail in Farmington Utah. I like shooting here because there is always plenty of shade and greenery. The bridges are so cute as well!

Ashley also wanted to get a few photos to celebrate the first birthday of their daughter. The balloon was tricky to work with, but I think the photos turned out perfectly.

Ash is the best momma to her three kiddos. Her boys snuggled right up when it was time to get photos of the three of them, and baby girl did not want to be put down most of the evening!

It’s so funny spending time with your high school friends after becoming adults and parents. I couldn’t help but think “When the heck did we get old enough to be adults – with kids!?” Blows my mind every single time.

Lagoon Trail is right in the heart of Farmington, Utah and is right next to a popular amusement park. Literally. We could hear park attendees screaming with joy while riding the rides and even saw a few families picnicking at tables through the fence that separates the trail from the park. Every time I shoot on this trail it’s pretty quiet. There’s the occasional biker or family passing along the trail, but it’s generally a pretty easy location to shoot without worrying about other people getting in my shot.

But I think my favorite part of this location is the ivy wall. Most of the trail is shaded, which means it’s easy to shoot in. But that also means that we lose light faster than normal. But the spot where the ivy is has great light that lasts longer than most of the trail. I haven’t shot at this location for about a year now, but it’s always a great spot for families living around Farmington and Bountiful!
